Manchester City has had tough games against many teams in England and Europe, but defender Josko Gvardiol seems to be most afraid of one team.

Liverpool, led by Jurgen Klopp, was Man City’s biggest Premier League rival for a number of years. From 2018 to 2022, they were in the running for the title.

Even though Liverpool beat City in 2019–20, Pep Guardiola’s team won three Premier League titles during that time, making them the most powerful team in English football.

Arsenal has become Manchester City’s biggest threat over the last two years. They finished just two points behind the winners last season and five points behind them in 2022–23.

Even though Arsenal and Liverpool put pressure on Man City, an Italian football commentator who recently ran into Etihad star Gvardiol said that Inter Milan has been their hardest opponent in recent years.

Manchester City 22-year-old defender Josko Gvardiol reveals the club he fears more than Arsenal in the Premier League City’s first game in the 2024–25 Champions League was last week against Inter. The game ended in a scoreless draw after a close game.

The only other time these two teams played was in the 2023 Champions League final. Rodri scored the game-winning goal in the second half to help Manchester City beat Inter Milan and win the title.

Even though Inter is only sixth in Serie A, they were clearly worried about Man City at the Etihad. In fact, Gvardiol recently told a commentator that he thought City would be the club’s hardest opponent.

Josko Gvardiol told me in a diner, “No team in the Premier League has ever played us like Inter did.” This is what Riccardo Trevisani told Cronache di Spogliatoio.

“Inter felt brave after beating Manchester City, and that’s what killed them.” After looking at both their minds and bodies, Inter were not in the best shape.

“And even Man City had a hard time to keep up with them; by the 97th minute, they were down.”

AC Milan beat Inter Milan 2-1 at the San Siro on Sunday, which was disappointing. On the same day, Manchester City got an equalizer in the 98th minute to keep Arsenal from a famous win at the Etihad.

A lot of Man City players made fun of Arsenal’s strategy and said they were using “dark arts” after the hot and controversial Premier League match.

The coach told TNT Sports Brazil, “There was only one team that came to play football.”

“Unfortunately, the other player came to play as hard as they could and as long as the referee let them.” I’m glad we always go into every game with the goal of winning.

English and City defender John Stones added, “They slow the game down.” They get the goalkeeper on the ground to learn more about what’s going on in the field.

“During those hard times, we had to keep our emotions in check.” They have done it for a few years now, so we knew what to expect. I wouldn’t say they really know how to do it, though.

It doesn’t matter if you call it smart or dirty; they break up the game, which disrupts the flow. They take advantage of it, and we handled it very well.
