The manager of Manchester City praised the manager of Liverpool before turning his attention to his next opponent.

Judged by Pep Guardiola, Mikel Arteta is likely to take over as Jurgen Klopp’s main Premier League rival and training partner next season.

Manchester City beat West Ham 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday to win their fourth straight Premier League title, which is a record in English football.

The home team easily won thanks to three great goals from key player Rodri and two great goals from top player Phil Foden.

Even though Mohammed Kudus hit a mighty overhead kick, West Ham never really got going in David Moyes’s last game in charge.

Klopp’s nine years as Liverpool’s coach were life-changing. On Sunday, they beat Wolves 2-0 at an emotional Anfield to end his time there.

Liverpool is the only team to beat City’s string of league titles. They won the 2021 title, which came during Guardiola’s six Premier League wins.

Even though Arsenal beat Everton 2-1 on Sunday, they were still in the running for the Premier League title for the first time in 20 years. However, City easily won again, ending Arsenal’s dreams.

Arteta learned how to be a coach while working as Guardiola’s assistant. Now that Klopp is leaving, City’s manager thinks that his friend and Arsenal manager is ready to become a master in his own right.

Guardiola said, “I will miss him a lot,” with a tear in his eye as he talked about his friendship with Klopp. Jurgen has been a big part of my life. He raised me as a boss to a higher level. We really respect each other.

“I get the feeling he’ll be back, and thank you so much for your kind words. But he knows that this club gives me a lot, and I couldn’t do it on my own.” I’m humble enough to know that.

“He beats me in a lot of races, but he helps me with his team.” I didn’t figure out how to beat them like I do with other teams. It has been so hard with him.

“I’m sure Mikel will carry on his work to take us to a higher level.” Thanks for everything, and I hope his last game was great. He earned it.
