Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne reveals his transfer plans ahead of summer transfer window

During their three-day business trip to the Middle East, Kevin De Bruyne’s representatives are said to have met with 10 Saudi Arabian clubs to talk about his long-term possibilities.

Ten Saudi Arabian clubs are said to have met with Kevin De Bruyne’s agents this week, before the summer transfer market opens.

The Manchester City defender, who is 32 years old, doesn’t want to move to the Saudi Pro League, but Al Hilal has long seen him as a star player and are trying to change his mind. Alan Redmond and Renato Martinez, two of Roc Nation Sports’ top agents, met with Al Hilal, Cristiano Ronaldo’s teams Al-Nassr and Al-Ittihad, and other teams during a short three-day business trip. Roc Nation Sports also represents Vinicius Junior, Gabriel Martinelli, and Lucas Paqueta.

Despite these changes, De Bruyne is still expected to extend his deal with City before moving on to the MLS, which is where he wants to play. According to the Mirror, San Diego FC has already started private preliminary talks with the club of the six-time Premier League winner to show their interest in a possible transfer.

He will have other possible suitors in the United States, though, when he finally chooses to end his illustrious career at City. Guardiola told De Bruyne in February that it was up to him to decide what would happen with his career.

When asked if Saudi Arabia was interested in his star player, Guardiola said, “That’s his question.” Personally, I’d like him to stay, but I’m not sure. He does have an offer, but I’m just listening from links. I am unsure if Saudi Arabia desires him. It would be great if he could stay here again. There is no one but everyone.

Also, top Saudi clubs are interested in De Bruyne’s teammates Ederson and Bernardo Silva. This comes after these clubs spent £701.3m on moves over the summer. Al-Ittihad is apparently ready to make an initial offer on goalkeeper Ederson, who is 30 years old. Bernardo still wants to play for Barcelona, even though PSG is interested in him.

Last year, Bernardo turned down a rich offer from Al Hilal to sign a new deal with City that includes a £50 million release clause. “I would be lying if I said I didn’t think about it [Saudi Arabia],” he said in an interview with RTP. I liked how hot it was to play in a UEFA Champions League semi-final and hear the crowd go crazy when we scored against Real Madrid in the semi-finals or when we beat Inter Milan in the final. I was determined to succeed in that.
