Jack Grealish posted a message on social media in response to the news that Stefan Ortega’s deal at Manchester City was extended.
The German has agreed to stay with the Manchester club until the summer of 2026, it was announced earlier today.
Ortega told the club this about his choice to sign the contract after the news spread.
He told them, “I’m thrilled to be staying at Manchester City for longer.” If you want to be the best football player, this club has everything you need. Every day I’m inspired and pushed, and as a goalie I’ve gotten better since I first came here two years ago.
“This place in England is home for my family.” I love everything about this place. Now that I’ve signed this deal, I can fully focus on next season and beyond.
Not long after this story spread, it caught the attention of another City player, who had to share how he felt about it.
Jack Grealish responds to the news that Stefan Ortega’s deal will be extended
The club posted about Ortega’s new contract on their official Instagram account, along with a picture of the goalkeeper. In answer, Grealish said this.
“What a man,” he said.
This message from Grealish shows what a great friend he is. It also shows how much Grealish likes the 31-year-old.
Recently, the winger was left out of England’s final group for the upcoming European Championship in Germany. It’s great to see him send this positive message to Ortega after his contract was extended.
Also, Grealish has only started 26 of the 36 games he’s played in all competitions for City this season, which the 28-year-old admitted was a tough one for him. The fact that he sent this message in answer to Ortega’s news shows what kind of person he is.
