Erik ten Hag and Manchester United both issued two unambiguous January transfer window sales messages.Supporters of Manchester United have expressed their concern regarding the club’s January transfer policy in a straightforward manner. As a result of United’s substantial expenditure during the summer being somewhat tied in by Financial Fair Play (FFP), this month’s focus is on outgoings as opposed to incomings.

We solicited opinions from readers of the Manchester Evening News regarding the retention or sale of a group of Manchester United players who have been linked with departures from Old Trafford in recent weeks and months.

Their assessment of two of United’s attackers was unequivocal, as thousands of Reds utilized our instrument (which you can try out yourself below) to express their opinions.A significant 95.6% of respondents to the retain or sell questions recommended that Manchester United sell Anthony Martial. Due to injury, illness, and poor form, the French forward has been unable to consistently demonstrate the promise that led to his acquisition by Manchester United in 2015. As a result, his supporters are frustrated.

Antony, a Dutch winger, fares no better in our survey; over 86% of respondents prefer to see him traded. United paid an astronomical £86 million transfer fee to Ajax to acquire him shortly after Erik ten Hag joined the club. He has yet to live up to that price.Conversely, United supporters unequivocally express their preference for full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka to remain at Old Trafford, as evidenced by the nearly 71 percent of them who have voted for him. Almost 70% of supporters believe Marcus Rashford should remain at United despite his lackluster performance this season. Similarly, 66% of supporters want rookie Amad to remain and compete for a spot in the first team.

A number of other players have divided opinions among fans, with Casemiro, Scott McTominay, Raphael Varane, and Harry Maguire each garnering approximately 50% of the vote.
