Manchester United coach Erik Ten Hag breaks silence and gives out the latest injury update on Leny Yoro after Arsenal’s defeat in the pre-season friendly match, and it’s not what fans expected
Erik ten Hag, the boss of Manchester United, had to take both Leny Yoro and Rasmus Hojlund off the field early because they were hurt against Arsenal.
Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, said he was upset that Leny Yoro had to leave the game because he was hurt, but it was too early to say how badly he is hurt.
Reds players were hurt twice in the early hours of Sunday morning’s game against Arsenal. First, Rasmus Hojlund had to leave because of what looked like a leg problem. He got hurt right after getting the first goal with a hard shot under the goalkeeper.
Gabriel Jesus tied the game in the middle of the first half with a shot that Ten Hag said was offside after the game was over. Before the half was over, Yoro went down and needed to be helped during a break for drinks. He was replaced right away.
When asked about their fitness levels after the game, Ten Hag said he was most upset about the center-back’s injury. “It is too short [notice] we have to wait over 24 hours and then we know hopefully more,” he said.
Our attention was paid extra attention to Leny. It was sad that he had to leave because he only gave half of the lessons his all, but let’s stay positive and see what comes out.
It is not clear yet if United will be without the two young players for the first game of the season next month until a full report is made on both of them. Before the next pre-season tour game against Real Betis in the early hours of Thursday, August 1, Ten Hag is expected to give an update on Yoro and Hojlund.
