David de Gea, a former goalie for Manchester United, sent Alejandro Garnacho a message after Manchester United beat Brentford on Saturday.
The Argentine scored a goal for Manchester United on Saturday, and David de Gea sent him a message.
When the half was over, Erik ten Hag’s team was down 1-0 because Ethan Pinnock scored from a corner kick. United was very angry about the goal because Matthijs de Ligt was getting treatment for a head injury at the time.
Ten Hag’s team used the anger to their advantage, and Garnacho scored a great goal from close range just minutes into the second half to tie the game. He then scored the game-winning goal, giving United their first Premier League win since September.
The 20-year-old got a lot of replies, including one from De Gea, who used to play goalkeeper for Manchester United. The Spaniard answered with a superhero emoji in the comments.
Others who answered included Hojlund, who just used the “best of all time” goat emoji, and Joshua Zirkzee, who used flames emojis and a red love heart.
This season, Garnacho has scored five goals, and Ten Hag has talked about how important it is to have a goal. The Dutch player also talked about why he plays the United academy product so often.
“If he wants to be a better player, he has to,” Ten Hag said after the game on Saturday. That’s why I play him so often: I know what he can do.
“He is a threat, and he can score. He is also a threat one-on-one.” This is what we need and what we missed in the first games.
