Manchester United F.C. forward Alejandro Garnacho reaction shows true colour after Manchester United defeat against Liverpool (0-3)

The Manchester United players asked that “Take Me Home” be played right before the game started. It’s possible that Casemiro will soon be going to old age home.

Eleven months ago, Casemiro was hooked at halftime, and United was down 1-0 to Brentford. During the first half against Liverpool, Toby Collyer was told to warm up.

Fans of United didn’t have to wait for the fourth official to write “18” on his board before they knew who was coming on for him. When it was confirmed that Casemiro had made way for Collyer, there was a very loud cheer.Manchester United F.C. forward Alejandro Garnacho reaction shows true colour after Manchester United defeat against Liverpool (0-3)

While Erik ten Hag wasn’t to blame for when new midfielder Manuel Ugarte arrived, he also couldn’t figure out how to fix United’s middle problems last season. Until the FA Cup final, when he took Casemiro off.

Still, Casemiro has started all four of United’s games this season. Collyer came on early in the second half and got a pat on the back from Darren Fletcher. He was then put through his paces.

Like always, Fletcher sat in the seats. He left before the halftime whistle and stopped to talk to a United press officer. No amount of PR can save Casemiro’s 45-minute show.

The trade window for the Saudi Pro League stays open until next week, but even the new teams would rather get younger players than Casemiro, who is 32 years old. United will have to deal with one of their top earners for a while.

They really need Ugarte to do well. Two losses in three games is the same start as Ten Hag’s first Premier League season, but this time it’s the other way around. Two bad losses have stifled any confidence United might have had after beating Fulham on the first night of the season.

“Liverpool, Liverpool, taking the p**s” was first played after Mohamed Salah whipped the ball past Andre Onana, at the 58th minute mark. Three years after “Ole’s at the wheel,” they sang “Ten Hag’s at the wheel” during their 5-0 thrashing of United in M16. The Scousers yelled, “Down with the blue s***e!”

Some United fans in the Stretford End tried to get the players to cheer, while others said they would turn. Some people were mean to Marcus Rashford for turning around with the ball.

United can’t just brush this off as an oddity. For both losses this season, it’s been a lot like losses from last year, and the new management didn’t want to keep the boss. An expert for Liverpool put his hands to his head in shock at how bad United was.

The crowd’s response to a substitution was another thing that reminded people of the Annus Horribilis. People booed when Alejandro Garnacho was taken off, just like they did when Rasmus Hojlund and Kobbie Mainoo were taken off against Brighton and Burnley at Old Trafford last season.

While Ugarte had to dodge the sprinklers before the game, Casemiro didn’t cover as much ground during his pre-match welcome on the field. Two years ago, Casemiro was the last South American player to be paraded on the Old Trafford field before a game against Liverpool. That was his best moment against their rivals.

As a starter, Casemiro has not helped United beat Liverpool since Ten Hag took over. United’s center was just as soft and open as it has been all year because the Brazilian started by default. Because of Casemiro’s bad pass, the attack became defense, and Luis Diaz took advantage of United’s zigzag back four to make it 1-0 in the 35th minute.

Casemiro’s intercepted pass went to the left instead of the right, which made Garnacho angry. He changed the color of his shirt as he drank.

Last season, Liverpool led at Old Trafford in both the FA Cup and Premier League games. This time, they did the same. They didn’t let United off the hook this time, and Diaz’s second goal in the 42nd minute made sure the second half went smoothly.

In January 2022, Diaz was a free agent, and Ralf Rangnick suggested that United could get him to improve their attack. Lisandro Martinez led the Colombian off the field when he was taken off in the 65th minute, glad to see him go.

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s goal was called off because United’s midfield was easily bypassed with a sharp pass. This should have been a sign, but they didn’t listen. Steven Gerrard celebrated on the same patch of grass 15 years ago by kissing the camera. Alexander-Arnold did the same thing. His first goal at Old Trafford was over. Diaz sent in a cross, but Salah was not onside.

Ten Hag started the game in the bench, but Liverpool’s effort that was called off made him move to the technical area. When the ball went past United’s midfielders again in the 30th minute, Ruud van Nistelrooy sped down the steps of the bench to talk to Ten Hag. After one minute, Liverpool was ahead. If Salah stole the game-winning third from Mainoo, he would act like Casemiro.

Other choices were not proven right. Joshua Zirkzee was off in the first half. He wasn’t moving right or deep enough. In the second, he looked more dangerous and should have scored with a free header that was aimed straight at Alisson.

Rashford’s approval rate hasn’t gone up since the season began, and Amad, who was United’s August player of the month, should not have been demoted. Ten Hag probably didn’t call Rashford names because he wasn’t replaced by Amad. Rashford set up Zirkzee twice.

When his number came up, Casemiro was already inside.
