After Bryan Mbeumo, Manchester United is already in the process of securing their next significant signing. Samuel Luckhurst, a correspondent for the Manchester Evening News, has disclosed that Manchester United intend to recruit a striker after they complete the signing of Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo.
Ruben Amorim’s attacking alternatives are set to undergo substantial modifications, and the Red Devils intend to recruit at least three new players. United are currently in the process of finalizing a deal for Mbeumo, as they have already confirmed Matheus Cunha as their inaugural summer arrival.
Negotiations between the two clubs regarding the Cameroonian’s transfer are ongoing. Mbeumo is rumored to have authorized a transfer to Old Trafford, despite Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in him. Tottenham Hotspur last week appointed his former coach, Thomas Frank. Manchester United is seeking to sign a striker.
The pursuance of a new number nine by United was postponed by the decision of their “prime target,” Liam Delap, to join Chelsea in a £30m deal, as per Luckhurst. Viktor Gyokeres, Victor Osimhen, and Hugo Ekitike have all emerged as prospective targets, prompting the Red Devils to return to the drawing board to evaluate the remaining options on the market. In 38 Premier League matches,
United scored a mere 44 goals, resulting in their lowest goalscoring season in 35 years. They ultimately finished 15th in the rankings. Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, and Antony are all available for transfer, and there is potential for outgoings in the attack to assist in funding a new striker.
