If Erik ten Hag made two subs against Burnley, Manchester United fans booed. They did it again at the end of the 1-1 draw.

Erik ten Hag told Manchester United fans to be patient after they started to boo during the 1-1 draw with Burnley at Old Trafford.

A lot of people at Old Trafford didn’t agree with Ten Hag’s choice to replace Kobbie Mainoo and Rasmus Hojlund with Scott McTominay and Amad in the middle of the second half, when the game was still scoreless. People also booed when Hojlund was taken off against Brighton and Manchester City earlier in the season.

Antony’s goal 11 minutes from the end looked like it would save United’s face, but Andre Onana made a mistake that led to a late penalty, which Zeki Amdouni scored. The home fans also booed when the game ended.

Ten Hag explained his double switch by saying that his young players needed to be protected from getting too tired. He also asked for patience as he builds his United team.

“They are fans but I have to manage the team, playing well first of all and you see what the game needs, by that time we need some fresh but also some technical wise to bring a player who can keep the ball and is imaginative,” he said.

“In midfield, it was a very intense game that went up and down. Rasmus and Kobbie were getting tired, and they are very young players. It was the right call.” You can see some gain by putting the new legs with Scott in a spot where it’s very open. He’s great in those conditions, and he can make some penetrations from there.

“This week we have three games.” Burnley had days off, so it makes sense to take players off who are very young and in their first year of the Premier League when the game gets really heated. This season, Rasmus Hojlund got hurt more often, and Kobbie got hurt twice really badly. I don’t want them to get hurt, so I also protect them.

The people want to see the skills that these players bring to the team, and I understand that. While I understand, I need to do my job, and that is the right choice.

Ten Hag said that his team was young and inexperienced, especially Hojlund, Mainoo, and Alejandro Garnacho. He asked the owners and fans to be patient with him as he continued to rebuild the team.

“This is why we’re building this club back up: we have some very young players.” He said, “That takes time.” “We bring in young players like Garnacho, Hojlund, and Mainoo. This is their first season in the Premier League, and each year it gets tougher.” This season is stronger than the last.

“It takes time for those players to get used to it.” It takes a lot of patience on my part, but the people and I all need it because we’re building a team and need the experience.

“Even when you’re tired, you have to keep going until the end.” This season was different because of extra time. Games went on for seven, eight, nine, or ten minutes longer to keep the pace up. That is a line they have to cross, and the only way for them to learn it is through experience.

People who say that Ten Hag’s United team is like great teams from the past are wrong. Ten Hag responded by comparing his team to the teams that were rebuilt under Sir Alex Ferguson in the early to mid-2000s.

“That’s a long way off. “The great Manchester United teams were also built. In 2004 and 2005, they didn’t play very good football because they were still building. It takes time,” he said.
