Manchester United player Rasmus Hojlund finally reveals the meaning behind his guitar celebration during Man Utd win Vs West Ham United
Hojlund had a funny celebration when he scored. The Danish striker played the air guitar with his leg on his 21st birthday, which made both his teammates and fans laugh.
The young player told Sky Sports about the reason for the party after the game.
“I spoke about doing a celebration for my friends,” he told me. “They told me to do the guitar back in the summer, and I hadn’t done it yet, so today was the day.”
Hojlund had a rough start to his time in the Premier League, but he has a lot to be happy about now. The scorer had not scored in his first 14 league games for United, but he has now scored in four straight league games.
Hopjlund, who is 21 years old, is the youngest United player to ever do that.
Since moving from Atalanta for £72 million last summer, the Danish player has scored 10 goals in 28 games across all categories.
Garnacho, Hojlund’s two-goal partner, also did an impressive celebration.
Angel Di Maria, a former United defender, recently said that the Argentine winger was copying Cristiano Ronaldo’s celebrations, so of course he did Ronaldo’s famous “ad board” celebration.
Sky Sports asked Garnacho about his latest tribute to Ronaldo. “I’m very happy because I scored two goals,” he said. “The party is… an inspiration.”
Next up for United is a trip to Birmingham to play Aston Villa next Sunday, which could be tough.
