Manchester United player ratings vs Bournemouth draw match as Bruno Fernandes was extraordinary (2-2)

United had to work hard to get a 2-2 draw at the Vitality Stadium against Bournemouth after a rough first half.

Erik ten Hag’s team was 2-1 down at halftime, and many of their players were not even close to playing at their best. They played better in the second half, though, and Bruno Fernandes’ goal tied the game.

Fernandes had also tied the game in the first half, but Dominic Solanke and Justin Kluivert scored twice for Bournemouth in a second half that was again chaotic and gave the Cherries many more chances.

Ten Hag’s team is now seventh in the Premier League table after this loss. This is how the United players were rated:

Andre Onana

Not able to stop Justin Kluivert from scoring at his near post, but made a crucial stop on the Dutchman just before halftime. 5

João Dalot

He had his worst game in a while, and he missed Kluivert’s chance to score when he got the ball. Had a calmer second half. 5

Willy Kambwala

He lost the first two tackles he had with Dominic Solanke, and he was so scared that he lost his balance when Solanke scored. Almost gave up a late penalty. 4

Harry Maguire
After an argument with the medical staff, he soldiered on with an injury, and being there the whole time was one of the few good things. 6

Aaron Wan-Bissaka
The extra left back was moved around a lot in the first half, when Bournemouth dominated, but he was more in charge in the second. 5

Casemiro
The only good thing about having him on the team is that it helps Kobbie Mainoo. Again flagged. Sofyan Amrabat must be really bad if he doesn’t get a look-in. 4

Kobbie Mainoo
His care with the ball paid off when Adam Smith handled his deflected shot in his own area. He was one of the few good players. 6

Alejandro Garnacho
It was his 30th straight start, and the extra work made him tired. Had no luck in the first half and was taken off for Amad during the break. 3

Bruno Fernandes
Getting into a fight with Onana and then Ten Hag, but scored a precise volley and a penalty in the second half to level the game. 7

Marcus Rashford
Had a pretty good first half with some good approach play, but his chance in the second half was a waste of time. The second half was calmer. 5

Rasmus Hojlund
Better than in the past few weeks, but hungry because coworkers aren’t helping out. He tried his hardest, but it didn’t work. 5

Subs

Amad

Was involved enough, but it never looked like they were making a difference. 5

Mason Mount
Not much of an impact as United looked for a winner. 5

In charge of

United had a worse first half than they did against Brentford and Liverpool, so the manager named an unchanged team for no reason. Proactive with the change at halftime, but a mistake saved them. 4
