In their last Premier League game of the season, Man United beat Brighton 2-0. Here’s how the players did at the Amex Stadium.

Andre Onana

Held Valentin Barco off with a save at the near post. His goal had some lucky moments, but Onana didn’t have to make many big stops. 6

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Bad defense let Barco have the first chance at goal inside the box. Keeps running into a force field whenever he gets close to the final third. 5

Casemiro

Strongly defended with Lisandro Martinez as a partner. Did a great job clearing off the line Joao Pedro’s shot, and his pass set up Diogo Dalot’s goal. 7

Lisandro Martinez
It was good to see them back in the starting lineup, and they played all 90 minutes for the first time since February. It was planned for him to leave after 59 minutes. 6

Diogo Dalot
Lucky not to have been arrested for stopping Simon Adingra in a selfish way. Often moved into the middle of the field and tried to go as far forward as the front line to score. 7

Kobbie Mainoo
Got better after an early injury scare, but had a hard time making an effect against Brighton’s aesthetics. The person who left the game to rest. 5

Sofyan Amrabat

His great run stopped all of a sudden. That was a fair call, and they were slow on and off the ball. He often passed in strange ways. 5

Amad Diallo

Taken part in some good conversation and acted with admirable purpose. After cutting inside, he missed a shot that he could have made better. 6

Scott McTominay
United’s best chance of the first half was ruined by a big touch and shot. Had a good chance from close range just after the hour mark. 5

Alejandro Garnacho
United’s most dangerous forward. Had a few good chances in the first half and put Brighton’s players on the back foot. 6

Bruno Fernandes
Started as the false nine again, and after a rough first half, he was booked. He was changed at the hour to save him for Wembley. 4

Subs

Jonny Evans
Changed as planned. 6

Rasmus Hojlund

United had a focus point, and they scored a great goal. 8

Raphael Varane

Twenty or so minutes before the start of a possible cup final. 6

Rasmus Hojlund
Got more playing time before what was likely to be a bench part at Wembley. 5

Hans Christian Eriksen

came out with Rashford. 5

Manager

sent a message of purpose by only making one change, but the false nine strategy didn’t work. In the second half, they pretty much stopped taking the game seriously. 6
