Manchester United suffers serious injury setback as Harry Maguire got injured during international match

After coming off the bench early in England’s 1-0 loss to Brazil, Harry Maguire was sent for a scan. This is even worse news for England and Manchester United.

Maguire is the second player this season to quit the national team. Kyle Walker of Manchester City got hurt and had to leave the game on Saturday.

There was worry when the important player left in the second half, which is what led to the scan on Sunday.

According to Gareth Southgate, Maguire and Chilwell were taken off at first as a safety measure. However, the Manchester United star will not be able to play in England’s friendly against Belgium on Tuesday.

Like Walker, he has gone back to his club. This season, Southgate’s team has been hurt a lot.

Erik ten Hag, United’s manager, will be worried about the news, especially since the team has some big games coming up, starting with a Premier League trip to Brentford on Saturday.

The last game Maguire played for his club or country was ruined when he was taken off after only 67 minutes. He hadn’t started since February 24.

Some well-known players who didn’t play in the 1-0 loss were Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jack Grealish, and Bukayo Saka. Before the game, Harry Kane was in the stands and hurt his ankle. He is now getting treatment at Bayern Munich.

On the other hand, Jordan Henderson and Cole Palmer have been back in training since Saturday. They could help England make decisions about who to play against Belgium next.
