I am overjoyed that Mohamed Salah has surpassed my goal scoring record. I am under the impression that he has now made a decision regarding his future with Liverpool.Robbie Fowler, the legendary Liverpool player, has acknowledged that he was delighted to witness Mohamed Salah surpass him in

the Premier League’s all-time scoring charts. He has also encouraged Salah to remain at Anfield beyond the conclusion of the current season.Salah added 164 goals to his Premier League tally with his second-half victor against Brighton & Hove Albion last Saturday. All but two of those goals have been scored since Salah relocated to Anfield in 2017.The 32-year-old moved up to eighth on the list and one strike clear of the 164 Fowler managed across spells

at Anfield, Leeds United, and Manchester City as a result of his trademark curling effort. Nevertheless, the Kop’s beloved Reds icon, Fowler, who was affectionately referred to as “God” for his remarkable scoring prowess, maintains that he had no reservations about Salah becoming the highest-ranked Liverpool player on the list. He even predicted that the Egyptian would soon surpass seventh-placed Thierry Henry.

In his most recent Mirror column, Fowler expressed his satisfaction with Mo Salah’s recent advancement to the top of the Premier League’s all-time scoring list. “I am a Liverpool fan, so I am delighted when he scores goals.”

“He has accomplished an extraordinary amount at Anfield, and he is currently in pursuit of Thierry Henry’s 175 goals, having risen to the eighth position on the list following his 164th goal against Brighton last week.”

“I am confident that Salah (right) will achieve this feat, as his statistics for Liverpool thus far have been remarkable, with three-quarters of the season remaining.” I am honoured to be included in the top 10 of that list; however, I harbour a remorse. However, Fowler is of the opinion that Salah intends to remain at Anfield following his enigmatic social media post, which seemed to confirm his affection for the club last weekend.

“As for Salah’s cryptic message after his winner against Brighton, for me he’s telling Liverpool the ball is in their court over his contract situation,” according to him. “I believe he wants to stay – and I’m not alone at Anfield in hoping he does.”
