The Montreal Alouettes are preparing for a pivotal Eastern Final showdown against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
Fresh off an impressive win last week, the Alouettes will be out for revenge after losing both regular-season meetings to Hamilton. This time, however, things will look different — quarterback Davis Alexander will be under center, having missed those earlier encounters. His presence could inject new life into Montreal’s offense against a physical Tiger-Cats defense.

Defensively, discipline and precision will be key. Linebacker Geoffrey Cantin-Arku emphasized that the group has closely analyzed Hamilton’s tendencies, aiming to limit explosive plays and force the Tiger-Cats to sustain long drives.
“Not taking anything away from them,” Cantin-Arku said, “but they still have to play against the Montreal Alouettes — the best defense in the CFL and an explosive offense. It’ll be a battle, but we’re confident.”
Montreal’s defense has excelled in second-and-long situations this season — a strength that could prove vital on Saturday.
Hamilton, meanwhile, will rely on veteran quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell and a lethal trio of receivers led by Kenny Lawler, who topped 1,400 yards and 14 touchdowns, alongside Kiondré Smith and Tim White, both surpassing the 1,000-yard mark.
To reach the Grey Cup, Montreal must contain that offensive firepower. The Alouettes head into the contest united and confident, believing that teamwork and execution will be their keys to victory.
