When Man United played in their own country again, they lost to Newcastle 1-0 at St. James’ Park, but it could have been more.

Edgar Howe was only unhappy with Newcastle’s play in their easy 1-0 win over Manchester United because his team didn’t end the game sooner.

In the first half, Newcastle had a lot of chances to score against United at St. James’ Park on Saturday, but Anthony Gordon finally broke the tie in the 55th minute.

Norwich had 22 shots on Erik ten Hag’s team, and Newcastle earned to win. They are now in fifth place in the Premier League, one spot ahead of United.

When United came back from the international break, they beat Everton 3-0. But in just a few days, they tied Galatasaray and lost to Newcastle.

Ten Hag wasn’t happy with how his team played, but his opponent was. In his talk with TNT Sports after the game, Howe was thrilled.

“The only frustration today was that we didn’t put the game to bed earlier,” said Howe. “I thought it was a great show; we were in charge.” Because Nick Pope got hurt and extra time was added, there were always going to be some scary moments in the end, but I thought our defense was great.

“Today, I thought both players (Livramento and Miley) were great.” I thought that Lewi, who was so young at the time, had the best game of the three. It’s harder to be steady the longer you play for the team. It was his best work yet.

“The same thing happened to Tino. I think he’s grown into the role and struck really well, so I was happy with both of the young players. Together, we scored a great goal today, and he was in the right place at the right time to finish it.
