Newcastle United 4 – 0 Tottenham Hotspur – Goals Highlights at St James’ Park Alexander Isak was incredible

The amazing fight that Newcastle United has been waging against all the odds this season resumed at St. James’ Park, where Tottenham Hotspur was given a tremendous thrashing.

James Maddison, who plays for England, received a caution for a reckless challenge on Jacob Murphy, but he could have been dismissed from the game quite easily if he had been punished for his foul on Gordon in the first half. Just after the hour mark, Anderson made an attempt to get in on the action by cutting inside and forcing the goalkeeper to make a save.

The decision that Maddison made to select Spurs over Newcastle was brought up multiple times throughout the afternoon. At the 68-minute mark, Maddison attempted to take a shot from a long range but was unsuccessful in hitting the target. At the opposite end of the field, Anderson attempted to score a goal by going outside the box, but Vicario was not bothered by his effort.

After Jacob Murphy, a former Norwich player, complained of cramping, Howe decided to take him out of the game at the 78-minute mark and subsequently substitute Tino Livramento in his stead. A corner kick taken by Newcastle resulted in Emil Krafth taking a shot at the goal with ten minutes remaining on the clock, however the ball hit the bottom of the post instead of the goal.
