Yuri Alberto, the striker for Corinthians, has disclosed that it is his “top priority” to relocate to England, amidst rumours about his potential transfer to the Premier League.

Alberto, who scored 27 goals in 54 appearances across all competitions for his club last season, has been linked to a potential transfer to Newcastle United and West Ham.

The 23-year-old has only been capped once by Brazil; however, his performance at the club level has prompted speculation about a potential January transfer. The duo may end up at Alberto’s door as a result of West Ham’s pursuit of a striker in response to Niclas Fullkrug’s underwhelming debut at the

London Stadium and Newcastle’s aspirations to provide competition for Alexander Isak.

According to The Boot Room, Alberto is being pursued by numerous Premier League clubs, including Everton and Nottingham Forest, who will be playing against each other at St James’ Park on Monday night.

Corinthians may be persuaded to sell the striker for a sum of £20 million; however, it is unlikely that the player would require significant persuasion to relocate to England. Alberto acknowledged to Brazilian media that his “top priority” would be to relocate to England.

“I have a significant aspiration to perform in Europe.” Alberto stated. I was unable to participate in European tournaments as a result of the conflict, so I opted to remain at Zenit where I ultimately returned.

I am deeply content with my current position at Corinthians; however, I am amenable to [resigning] if an opportunity presents itself that is mutually advantageous. “England is my primary concern.” I have a strong affinity for the location.
