Newcastle United co-owner Amanda Staveley sends out a strong transfer message after combined fee of £68million was raised from player departure
After a tough time for Newcastle United, co-owner Amanda Staveley thanks the fans.
The Magpies were in danger of losing Premier League points because they were trying so hard to sell players and get money before the June 30 date set by the Profitability and Sustainability Rules. Newcastle successfully negotiated the sales of Yankuba Minteh to Brighton & Hove Albion and Elliot Anderson to Nottingham Forest, netting a total of £68 million.
As a result, the club was able to satisfy PSR and go into the 2024–25 season with a good transfer budget to make the team stronger.
Different people had different thoughts on Newcastle’s last-minute business. Some thought it was too close for comfort, while others praised the club’s determination for making two of the biggest deals in its history just in time.

Things are finally starting to fall into place before the new season after a rough couple of weeks.
And co-owner Staveley sent a quick message to fans on social media.
She wrote, “I just wanted to thank our wonderful community for all the kind emails and messages of support we’ve been getting lately.” “I wish we could answer each person individually.” Newcastle United’s new season looks great, and we won’t have to wait for long.
