Newcastle United coach Eddie Howe delivers a strong clear message on the selling of the 32-year-old forward Callum Wilson after match against Burnley

The manager of Newcastle United has told the heads of Toon that selling Callum Wilson is not a good plan.

Eddie Howe, the manager of Newcastle United, is sure that Callum Wilson will continue to silence critics while wearing a black and white shirt. He has also made it clear that the striker can’t be moved this summer.

It was Wilson’s 10th goal of the season in the 4-1 win at Burnley. He looked lively in the final third. England manager Gareth Southgate was in the stands at Turf Moor to keep an eye on the former Coventry center-forward. That’s what the number 9 did in front of Southgate.

Wilson also scored 47 goals, which put him ahead of Peter Beardsley as Newcastle’s all-time top scorer in the Premier League. Alan Shearer is now the only player with 148 goals in this game ahead of him.

People have said that he might be a good sale this summer to ease fears about PSR and FFP, but Howe has said that it will cost a lot to replace him. Howe said this after the big win at Burnley: “You write Callum off at your own risk.” He always comes back, and as a player, he is very driven to do his best at all times. I’ve been in charge of him for a long time, and I wouldn’t trade him for anyone else.

“If he sets his mind on something, he will do it.” Of course, I want him to play for the team next season. I’ll do everything I can to make that happen.

Someone asked Howe if Wilson should go to Germany in a few weeks for the European Championships. Howe replied, “Gareth will decide for himself what he saw, but he hasn’t hurt himself.”

Newcastle is currently in sixth place in the Premier League, but they could still get fifth if Tottenham Hotspur keeps losing games in the last few games. He said: “I’ve said from a long time ago we were determined to give our all to finish as high as possible.”We tried to set new goals with ten games left, and our play has gotten a lot better since the international break. We need to keep that up for the last three games.
