There was a farewell note sent out by Lucas De Bolle, a midfielder for Newcastle United, before to his departure from the club this summer.
At the end of this month, numerous players who have been at the academy for a significant amount of time will be departing Newcastle United. Among them is Lucas De Bolle.

Despite the fact that the 21-year-old player did not make a competitive first-team appearance for Newcastle, he was a member of the club’s academy for nine years. He was also named to the bench for the Champions League group stage match that The Magpies played against Borussia Dortmund in November 2023. The match ended in a 2-0 loss for The Magpies.

Over the course of the 2022–2023 season, De Bolle was on loan with Hamilton Academical in Scotland, where he made 26 appearances and scored one. After the 2023–24 season, De Bolle was a member of the Newcastle team that went to Australia to compete in two post-season friendlies. These matches were against Tottenham Hotspur and the A-League All Stars.

The young team of Newcastle played Spurs to a 1-1 draw, and then they were defeated by the All Stars XI by an 8-0 score. De Bolle came off the bench for both of these matches. Since De Bolle’s departure from Newcastle was confirmed shortly after the second match, it would turn out that the second match would be the final time he would wear a Newcastle shirt.

Following the announcement that he would be leaving his position at Newcastle, De Bolle took to Instagram to share a collection of photographs associated with his time spent there, accompanied by the remark, “After nine years, my time at Newcastle has come to an end.”

Since I became a member of the club in 2015, I have accumulated a lot of wonderful memories while representing the club.I would like to express my gratitude to everyone of the staff, players, and fans who have been there for me and supported me during this journey.

At the time of his departure from Newcastle, De Bolle had been a consistent member of the Under-21s team and had also earned two caps for the Scotland Under-21 competition.
