Newcastle United forward Bruno Guimaraes shares a 39-word message over their goalless match against Everton
On Saturday evening, Bruno Guimaraes disclosed his frustration in the aftermath of Newcastle United’s 0-0 draw at Everton.
Despite a composed away performance, Newcastle was compelled to accept a point at Goodison Park after the Brazilian’s attempt was cleared off the line and Jordan Pickford saved Anthony Gordon’s penalty.
Guimaraes, who once again led the team, stated that he had “no time for regrets” as he prepared to depart Newcastle and join the Brazil squad for the international break.
Immediately following the match, the 26-year-old expressed his frustration by posting on Instagram, “Frustration at not securing the three points.” I believe that we were entitled to a victory today. There is no time for misgivings.
“We shall see you after the international break.” I am grateful for your continued support, as always, @nufc fans.
Before returning to Newcastle for the Premier League match against Brighton & Hove Albion at St James’ Park in two weeks (3pm kick-off), Guimaraes will be a member of the Brazil squad that will face Chile and Peru in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Newcastle is presently sixth in the new Premier League season, with 12 points and only one loss, after seven games. However, they will enter the Brighton match with a three-game losing streak, having followed the 3-1 loss at Fulham with draws against Manchester City and Everton.
