Newcastle United has learnt the cost of Angel Gomes’ transfer after the midfielder declined to make the move. When the transfer window reopens this summer, Newcastle United will endeavour to fortify their personnel in numerous capacities.

Eddie Howe is optimistic about the prospect of recruiting a number of players to his squad following three periods of inactivity in the transfer market. Newcastle will pursue a right-sided center-half to serve as a competitor for Fabian Schar, as Jamaal Lascelles is currently experiencing injury. Additionally,

they will pursue the acquisition of a new custodian, with James Trafford being the most sought-after candidate. After Miguel Almiron’s departure in January, United will undoubtedly acquire a right-winger to replace him at the higher echelon of the pitch. Jacob Murphy is the sole specialist in that position. And regardless of whether Callum Wilson remains at the club, an additional striker is necessary to provide support and competition for Alexander Isak in the middle.
