Newcastle United
Newcastle United is allegedly planning a thrilling transfer for the wonderkid, following a request from a Celtic icon to refrain from relocating to Parkhead.
After Celtic icon urges him not to move to Parkhead, Newcastle United ‘plot’ a thrilling move for the wonderkid.Newcastle United has shifted their focus to one of the most promising prospects in Scottish football.
Newcastle United have emerged as the frontrunners in the pursuit of Scottish prodigy Lennon Miller, who is in high demand, from Motherwell. The 18-year-old midfielder is highly regarded by Newcastle, according to TBR Football.
The publication also notes that Magpies observers have been present at Fir Park on numerous occasions this season. Miller is widely considered to be one of the most talented youth footballers in Scottish football.
In August 2022, the midfielder, who was born in Wishaw, made his debut as a 16-year-old, becoming the youngest player in a significant competition in the club’s 138-year history.
Since that time, the Scotland Under-21 international has made a total of 56 appearances for Motherwell, contributing six goals and seven assists.
Miller was a driving force behind the club’s survival in the Scottish Premiership last season and was regarded as an even more promising prospect at that age than former Chelsea star Billy Gilmour by his teammate, Andy Halliday.
“He is a player who has been incredibly consistent and brilliant for me over the past 18 months, and he is only 18 years old.
He has exhibited incredible maturity by wearing the captain’s armband, and that is all we can control at this time.” The manager of Motherwell provided an explanation.
Miller has the potential to be the next youthful prospect to enter St James’ Park, following the signing of Miodrag Pivas, Rory Finneran, William Osula, and Vakhtang Salia in Paul Mitchell’s inaugural summer as sporting director.
The Motherwell playmaker, who is rumoured to be on the brink of being called up to Steve Clarke’s senior Scotland squad, is estimated to be worth approximately £4 million.
This would make him the most expensive player in the Fir Park club’s history, following David Turnbull’s £3 million departure to Celtic in 2020.
The Premiership champions have identified Miller as a critical asset due to his exceptional talent and development at a young age.
However, former Hoops legend Pat Bonner has expressed his belief that a transfer to Parkhead would be an unwise decision at this early juncture of his career.
Bonner clarified, as reported by Glasgow World earlier this week, that “Lennon Miller is an exceptional player with exceptional ball-handling skills.” An exceptional distributor of the ball. However, he may not be selected for that squad if he enters this location. It would be a pity.
He is required to continue purchasing games. He is required to continue playing games, which is crucial.
