Newcastle United is “prepared” to propose a brutal £60m Nottingham Forest swap deal in order to avoid PSR trouble. Newcastle has enquired about
the 23-year-old winger who assisted 11 goals and tallied six for Forest during the 2024/25 Premier League season, playing all 38 games. The Magpies’ interest in Elanga is not a novel concept; they engaged in discussions with Forest regarding the Sweden international last summer; however, negotiations were unsuccessful.
Newcastle has recently rekindled their interest in Elanga; however, the player will not be available at a low price, as Forest is determined to retain his services. Negotiations regarding a fee will be affected by Manchester United’s sell-on clause, which was implemented subsequent to Elanga’s £15 million transfer to Forest in 2023.
