Newcastle United issues a statement to elucidate Joe Willock’s absence from Leicester City. Joe Willock, the midfielder for Newcastle United, was excluded from the match at the King Power Stadium tonight.
In recent weeks, the former Arsenal player has been unable to secure a spot in Eddie Howe’s starting lineup. Additionally, he was not even included on the substitute for the match against the hapless Foxes.
The black and whites issued a brief statement prior to the match, stating that Joe Willock would be absent due to a concussion. Joe, I wish you a speedy recovery.
Will ok not at risk for tonight’s match, and the injury is not anticipated to be severe. He fell awkwardly in the Brentford area following a collision. Howe was compelled to designate two goalkeepers on the substitute due to the absence, as Martin Dubravka and John Ruddy were dispatched to the East Midlands.
Sean Longstaff, a North Shields native, and Academy product Lewis Miley remain available to provide midfield cover for Howe. Additionally, talented Geordie striker Sean Neave has the ability to operate in the midfield. Howe maintained the same squad that defeated Brentford five days prior to the match against Leicester.
