Hayden, a 29-year-old midfielder for Newcastle United, is currently on loan at Championship team Queens Park Rangers. He has played 11 times since his loan move in January.
Hayden, who joined St. James’ Park in 2016, fell through the ranks under Eddie Howe because he hurt his knees too many times.
Isaac Hayden, a player for Newcastle United, has dropped a big hint about his future in the North East after this summer.
He did well at QPR and is now ready to make the move permanent. He wants to join the Hoops. In a recent chat with Newcastle World, he told them.
Isaac Hayden wants to stay at QPR after leaving Newcastle United.
“The club [Newcastle] and I will have to talk about what they want to do in the summer regarding this matter.” I had to take less money to play for QPR, but I was happy to do it for the last few months of the season so I could get games.
“But everything will start over in the summer. I hope I can help QPR stay up, and I’d love to stay here if it’s possible.”
The former England youth international has played 171 times for the Magpies, but he might never get another chance to add to that number.
It looks like Newcastle will likely let Hayden go in the summer. Since the 2020–21 season, the midfielder hasn’t played in the Premier League for Newcastle. Even then, he only made 14 starts.
It was against Manchester City in December 2021 that he played his last official game in a black and white shirt. His team lost 4-0.
