Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes reacts to his outcast teammate Alexander Isak Newcastle United statement over his transfer to Liverpool

In reaction to Newcastle United’s shocking announcement from Alexander Isak, Bruno Guimaraes has issued a barely concealed statement.
Isak made his first public statement regarding his intention to depart Newcastle United on Tuesday night, attributing his decision to “broken promises.”

For the past month, Isak has been absent from Newcastle’s first team, as he has been attempting to secure a transfer to Liverpool by missing the entirety of pre-season and the Premier League opener at Aston Villa.

However, Newcastle’s transfer policy remains unwavering, and it appears that Isak is too. And now, the matter has been made public.

Newcastle United’s statement is issued by Alexander Isak.
Following his absence from the PFA Awards in Manchester on Tuesday evening, Isak issued the subsequent statement on Instagram.

It stated, “I am honored to have been selected by my peers as a member of the PFA Premier League Team of the Season for 2024/25.”

“Initially, I would like to express my gratitude to Newcastle United and my teammates for their unwavering support.”

“I will not be present at the ceremony this evening.” I did not feel comfortable being present in the midst of all the events.

“I have maintained my silence for an extended period of time while others have spoken.” This reticence has enabled individuals to promote their own interpretation of the events, despite their awareness that it does not accurately represent the actual words and agreements that were made behind closed doors.

“The truth is that the club has been aware of my situation for an extended period of time, and promises were made.” It is misleading to present these issues as if they are merely emergent.

“The relationship cannot endure when promises are violated and trust is shattered.” That is the current state of affairs for me, and it is for the benefit of all parties, not just myself, that change is necessary.

Bruno Guimaraes’ indirect rejoinder to Alexander Isak’s statement
Newcastle captain Bruno Guimaraes posted his own message within minutes of Isak’s statement being uploaded, without the necessity of using any words.

The Brazilian merely publicly shared an image of himself standing in front of a Newcastle banner while wearing a Newcastle United shirt.

Even though the post was not a direct response to Isak’s statement, the timing was significant.

It follows Newcastle’s head coach, Eddie Howe, commending Guimaraes’ conduct and desire to perform for the club, while Isak remains absent and declines to participate.

“In my experience, particularly here, all of the players that we have signed were extremely eager to join,” Howe stated to The Gazette. “Subsequently, their performances will demonstrate this.”

“Bruno is always on my mind.” Bruno was eager to arrive. He was eager to don the black and white shirt.

“His initial performances at the football club were inspiring, as he had to wait to be included in the team.” “And he has consistently maintained his status as an inspirational figure”.

“Consequently, he would serve as an embodiment of that.” Additionally, he continues to hold that position at this time. He is greatly fond of performing in this venue for the city and its supporters. Additionally, that serves as an exceptional illustration of the necessity for which we are in dire need.
