Newcastle United supporters deliver an emphatic 81% VAR verdict against West Ham, and an ex-Everton player concurs.

Newcastle United suffered a loss to West Ham at St James’ Park on Monday night; however, they had the opportunity to regain a foothold in the game by converting a penalty.

 

Callum Wilson was introduced to the game for the first time this season as Eddie Howe’s team endeavoured to regain a foothold in the match.

VAR reviewed the incident but ultimately elected to adhere to Pawson’s on-field decision. The Premier League disclosed that the VAR determined that the initial decision was not overturned due to the insufficient “contact.”
