Newcastle United’s Sven Botman has been suspended for five matches, including matches against Arsenal and Spurs, due to an illness.
Eddie Howe has pronounced Sven Botman “available” for selection in Newcastle United’s match against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday (12:30pm kick-off).Following an ACL injury sustained in March, Botman has been sidelined for more than nine months.
However, he was able to resume full training in December, with the exception of a minor illness. He has participated in a few practice matches and has also played for Newcastle Under-21s for 60 minutes.
Howe will be compelled to modify his defense at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as a result of Fabian Schar’s suspension for the fourth match of the season, which was served in response to his yellow card against Manchester United. Schar was issued a three-match suspension as a result of a red card received earlier in the season.
As a result of the distinct Premier League and Carabao Cup bans, he will be unable to participate in the upcoming matches against Arsenal and Spurs.
