“Not selling them” – English pundit delivers his opinion on the transfer news surrounding the sell of the 29-year-old Celtic F.C. player Kyogo Furuhashi

Chris Sutton says Celtic should not try to sell Kyogo Furuhashi this summer, even though there are rumors that he wants to leave Celtic.

During the week, rumors said that Japanese team Urawa Red Diamonds wanted to sign Kyogo this summer, which led to a lot of talk about his future. It’s the Daily Mail.

Last season, the scorer scored 19 goals for the Bhoys. He hasn’t scored as many goals as he did last season (34), but he’s still an important part of Brendan Rodgers’ team.

In Premier League derbies against Rangers, he scored two important goals that won them both. His goals against Atletico Madrid and Lazio in the UEFA Champions League showed that he can use his skills on the biggest stages.

It makes sense that other teams will want to sign him, but Sutton has told Celtic not to give in to the desire to sell.

This former Celtic star told the Daily Record (January 6, 2006, p. 53) that Celtic should try to keep their big players for the Champions League and not sell them. Japanese bids have been talked about, but the numbers given for Kyogo don’t even begin to cover it.

“Kyogo turns 30 in January, and they might want to let him go if they can get £8m or more for him.” How much would it take to get someone else to do it? Hugely more.

“Some might say Yogi didn’t quite reach the same heights last season as he did in his first two, but he still scored 20 goals. He was a great signing for Celtic.”

“There’s a lot more to it than that.” When it means most, like in big derby games, cup finals, and in Europe, Kyogo steps up and does his job. Celtic should never even think about selling him because they’re worth a lot more instead.

Kyogo is a part of Celtic’s plan to find balance. Some football experts say that when a player is at their best is the best time to sell them so that the money can be put back into their future promise before they start to decline.

But when Celtic are fighting for three trophies at home and in Europe, it’s important that they find a balance in their outlook.

Yes, Sutton is correct; selling Kyogo right now wouldn’t make a lot of sense since it wouldn’t fetch a huge amount of money. He needs to stay with the team unless he wants to move away.

He has a lot to give on the field: quick feet, a lot of brains, and a mindset for the big game. Instead of taking away from the team, his skills should be fitted to it. We should see that this summer, I hope.
