Owen Hargreaves commends Arsenal’s exceptional player following their 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest.
Following Arsenal’s resounding 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest on Saturday, former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves has lavished praise on the adolescent sensation Ethan Nwaneri.
The victory, which ended Arsenal’s four-match winless stretch in the Premier League, was highlighted by exceptional performances from Bukayo Saka, Thomas Partey, and the 17-year-old Nwaneri.
Saka was the first to establish the tone at the Emirates, scoring within the first 15 minutes. He subsequently provided an assist for Partey’s remarkable long-range strike in the second half.
In the final minutes, Nwaneri completed the scoring with a composed first-time finish, becoming Arsenal’s second-youngest Premier League goalscorer, following Cesc Fàbregas.
Hargreaves was profuse in his praise of Nwaneri’s performance. On Premier League Productions, he described himself as a “brilliant player.” “That is his forte—receiving the ball on the half-turn from any location.”
He executed a composed finish, passing the ball into the net rather than slamming it. This young man is exceptional and will serve as a critical asset to Arsenal for years to come.
Hargreaves’ sentiments were echoed by Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, who commended Nwaneri’s fortitude and the connection he is establishing with the Arsenal faithful.

“You observe the fans’ reaction—they were singing, ‘He is one of our own.'” It is imperative that we proceed incrementally, constructing a magnificent structure with him.
Arsenal is now in fourth place in the league standings with 22 points, which is the same as Chelsea, but they are behind on goal difference. Liverpool, the current champions, are six points behind the Gunners, who still have a game in hand.
Arsenal will endeavor to maintain their title aspirations by establishing momentum following their return to winning ways.
