PFA released the latest update on Newcastle United outcast player Alexander Isak, and a response was duly made back

Alexander Isak, Newcastle United’s striker, responded to the PFA’s statement.
At the PFA Awards Gala in Manchester on Tuesday night, Isak was nominated for the PFA Players’ Player Award.

The Newcastle striker was not selected for the PFA’s top honor; however, he was included in the PFA Team of the Year. The award was ultimately won by Mohamed Salah of Liverpool.

Nevertheless, he was the sole participant of the 11 who failed to attend the esteemed awards ceremony.

Alexander Isak’s statement has been released by the PFA.

Isak’s inclusion in the 2025 PFA Team of the Year was confirmed by the PFA, which stated that “Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak makes the cut after an impressive season in the north east.”

“He scored 27 goals in all competitions for Eddie Howe’s team, including the winning goal at Wembley to secure the EFL Cup.”

Matz Sels and Chris Wood, who were both previously employed by Newcastle, were included in the roster, in addition to Isak.

In addition to the Reds’ new signing Milos Kerkez, Liverpool’s Salah, Virgil van Dijk, Ryan Gravenberch, and Alexis MacAllister were also included in the lineup. Kerkez was selected for his performances at AFC Bournemouth last season.

The PFA Team of the Year was completed by William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, and Declan Rice of Arsenal.

Isak issued a shocking statement subsequent to his absence from the ceremony.

Alexander Isak issues a statement subsequent to the PFA’s decision to disregard him.
Isak issued a statement on Instagram to elucidate his absence.

It stated, “I am honored to have been selected by my peers as a member of the PFA Premier League Team of the Season for 2024/25.”

“Initially, I would like to express my gratitude to Newcastle United and my teammates for their unwavering support.”

“I will not be present at the ceremony this evening.” I did not feel comfortable being present in the midst of all the events.

“I have maintained my silence for an extended period of time while others have spoken.” This reticence has enabled individuals to promote their own interpretation of the events, despite their awareness that it does not accurately represent the actual words and agreements that were made behind closed doors.

“The truth is that the club has been aware of my situation for an extended period of time, and promises were made.” It is misleading to present these issues as if they are merely emergent.

“The relationship cannot endure when promises are violated and trust is shattered.” That is the current state of affairs for me, and it is for the benefit of all parties, not just myself, that change is necessary.

“Alexander Isak.”

This summer, Liverpool has been attempting to secure Isak from Newcastle, but an agreement has yet to be reached.

Isak’s statement has been met with a response from Newcastle, who have stated that they do not anticipate a sale this summer.

Additionally, the Magpies extended an invitation for Isak to return “when he is prepared,” as he is still under contract at St. James’ Park until 2028.

Newcastle is still making an effort to secure a striker in the final weeks of the transfer window; however, it is unlikely that they will approve a sale for Isak prior to the September 1 deadline.
