Manchester City
Predicted Lineup: Brighton vs Manchester City – Team News, player to miss the match
Erik Haaland, a striker for Manchester City, will not be able to go to Brighton tonight for their Premier League game.
Pep Guardiola said that the Norwegian scorer had to be taken off against Real Madrid because he was tired. He then missed the FA Cup semi-final win over Chelsea over the weekend.
He and Phil Foden both didn’t show up to training on Tuesday, which was a big worry for City. John Stones could train, though.
When asked about the three, Pep Guardiola told reporters on Wednesday, “Erling Haaland is not ready for tomorrow; the other two are ready.” It’s not a big deal for Haaland, but it’s not allowed in this game.
To get back ahead of Arsenal in the Premier League, City has to go on two tough away games. The first is at Nottingham Forest, and the second is at Brighton. So, Guardiola might be able to do some switching.
Ederson should come back between the posts, and Josko Gvardio, Mateo Kovacic, and Jeremy Doku are also healthy enough to play.
The team that Man City is expected to play is Ederson; Walker, Stones, Dias, Gvardiol; Rodri, Kovacic; Foden, De Bruyne, Doku; Alvarez.
Haaland was hurt.
