Rangers coach Philippe Clement reacts to their defeat and delivers a pile of messages over Celtic’s 3-0 victory against Rangers on Sunday
Celtic beat Rangers 3-0 at Celtic Park on Sunday, showing once again that they are the best team in Scotland.
Daizen Maeda, Kyogo Furuhashi, and Callum McGregor scored goals that made it impossible for Brendan Rodgers’ team to beat their enemies.
In and out of the field, Celtic is light years ahead of Rangers. In the past few weeks, Philippe Clement has talked a lot about how “close” his team is, but that’s not true.
After the game today, the manager at Ibrox made more strange claims and reasons on Sky Sports.
Philippe Clement talks about Celtic Park’s loss.
Clement said, “Our team got off to the best start of the two.” As soon as the game began, we played very well and should have scored one or two goals. That is what makes a difference.
“I didn’t like how things changed after we went up 1-0 because we lost quality on the ball and in our organization.” We need to be more and more precise at this level of the game. That is one of the things we will work on over the next few weeks and months.
Then Clement started making excuses. He said, “We know we’re at the start of something; 16 players left the club.” There are a lot of new and young guys here. The Celtic starting eleven today is younger than ours.
It’s pretty strange that you said that since there isn’t a big age difference between the two starting elevens today. It was 27 for Celtic and 26 for Rangers.
Clement also said, “Celtic played today with a team that has been together for more than a year.” For two, three, or four years. In that way, it makes sense that they feel more hopeful. It’s also not the same when they bring in the new ones that they paid a lot of money for.
“I think the game would be very different today if we scored the first goal.”
After the conversation, even Sky Sports commentator Kris Boyd couldn’t understand what Clement said and why he said it. That’s it.
The boss of Rangers can’t get close to Celtic.
It’s been five tries for the Belgian boss to do something in this game. He has had a lot of time and a lot of talk about putting together a good team, but he has failed. Things were going better for Michael Beale.
He could only get a 3–3 draw in a crazy game at Ibrox, which was better for Celtic at the time because they were on their way to winning the league and cup double.
Without a doubt, Brendan Rodgers knows how to beat him. Fans of the Rangers must be very worried about where their manager is taking the team, even though he keeps pleading for more room to grow.
