Skov Olsen and Rommens send same message after Rangers’ big win over Kilmarnock
Rangers took a major step in the Scottish Premiership title race with an emphatic 5–1 victory over Kilmarnock on Wednesday night.
With Hearts slipping to a 1–0 defeat against St Mirren the day before, Danny Rohl’s side made the most of the opportunity to close ground. Celtic’s postponed clash with Aberdeen also adds extra pressure on their Glasgow rivals, making Rangers’ result even more significant.
It’s been a strong run of form for the Ibrox club, and the feel-good factor continues to grow — something Rohl is keen for supporters to embrace.
The win was very much a team effort, but substitutes Andreas Skov Olsen and Tuur Rommens stood out after coming off the bench.
Skov Olsen, who arrived earlier in the January window, wasted little time making an impact. In just his third appearance, the Danish winger marked his cameo with a well-taken goal after entering the match on the hour mark.
Rommens, who joined while still recovering from injury, was handed his first minutes and also made his mark by setting up a goal.
Both players clearly enjoyed the night at Ibrox. After the match, they shared near-identical posts on social media, each uploading an image from the game with the caption “+3” — a simple nod to the crucial three points earned in the title chase.
Rangers’ winter signings are already showing encouraging signs. While it’s still early, the early contributions suggest the recruitment drive could prove decisive.
Skov Olsen’s sharp finish, Rommens’ immediate influence, and promising displays from other arrivals have added fresh energy to the squad.
With new faces settling quickly and confidence building, Rangers look increasingly well-equipped for the run-in — and their recent transfer work could yet play a key role in the title race.
