Rangers exit imminent as announcement expected by Saturday

Danny Rohl is expected to be pleased with the ambition shown by Rangers during the January transfer window.

Andrew Cavenagh has backed the manager with several new signings as the club pushes for the Scottish Premiership title. Confidence is growing at Ibrox, helped by Thursday night’s 1-0 Europa League victory over Ludogorets Razgrad.

However, further arrivals may depend on departures, with Kieran Dowell closing in on an exit. Sky Sports report that the winger’s move to Hull City is set to be confirmed by Friday evening after he travelled to East Yorkshire for a medical. Rangers are expected to receive an undisclosed fee.

Dowell is not the only forward facing an uncertain future, with Findlay Curtis also linked with a move away. Speaking after the Ludogorets win, Rohl confirmed Dowell’s departure is close and admitted more exits could follow if the squad becomes too large.

Rangers have also agreed a deal with Kilmarnock to loan Curtis for the remainder of the season, allowing the young attacker to gain valuable first-team experience.
