Rangers star valued at £6m planning summer departure with destination already revealed

Rangers F.C. could be heading for a mini rebuild in Danny Rohl’s first summer transfer window in charge, but one player has already made it clear he doesn’t see himself as part of the long-term picture.

Chukwuani wants Rangers to build on Hearts momentum

Midfielder Tochi Chukwuani believes the momentum from last weekend’s 4-2 victory over Heart of Midlothian F.C. can fuel another crucial result away to Livingston F.C..

The win over the league leaders at Ibrox injected fresh belief into Rohl’s squad, and Chukwuani says the squad must now channel that same energy on the road.

“The mood is good,” said the Dane. “It was a great win and the atmosphere from the fans was fantastic. We felt that energy and we want to use it against Livingston to take three points. The setting will be different, but the objective stays the same.”

The January arrival has started to find rhythm in Glasgow, completing 90 minutes in each of his last three matches. However, he insists there is still more to come from the team.

“We know there’s room for improvement. It will help to have full training weeks to focus on tactical details and bring that into the next games.”

Danilo pushing for permanent NEC switch

While Chukwuani is embracing life under Rohl, Brazilian striker Danilo appears ready to move on permanently.

The 26-year-old, who began the campaign as first-choice striker before slipping down the pecking order in December, joined NEC Nijmegen on loan late in the winter window. The Dutch side hold an option to buy — and Danilo hopes they activate it.

“We’ll see if that happens. I’ve only just arrived,” he told Voetbal International. “I have to show what I can do and convince the club to take that option. Hopefully, we have some exciting months ahead.”

Signed for a fee rising to £6 million, Danilo scored 16 goals in 76 appearances for Rangers. With a summer rebuild looming at Ibrox, his future increasingly looks set to lie away from Glasgow.
