After suffering a 3–0 defeat to Brann, the Europa League’s lowest-ranked team, new Rangers boss Danny Rohl faces immediate pressure as he prepares his side to take on Kilmarnock at Ibrox this weekend.
The German manager has yet to taste victory since replacing Russell Martin, with the Gers now winless in four matches across all competitions. Rohl insists he’s identified the key problems within the team and is confident he can turn things around — but a response is urgently needed against a Kilmarnock side that has lost only twice in the league this season.
The match kicks off at 3pm at Ibrox Stadium and, unfortunately for fans, it will not be broadcast live on television in the UK. However, Rangers TV subscribers outside the UK can stream the game, while a global pay-per-view option is available for £9.99.
Rangers entered the 2025/26 campaign amid sweeping changes under new American ownership, with Russell Martin initially appointed as head coach. But after a poor run of results — just five wins from 17 matches — Martin was dismissed, paving the way for Rohl’s arrival.
The 34-year-old’s debut couldn’t have gone worse, as Rangers were comprehensively beaten by Brann in Norway, leaving them bottom of their Europa League group with zero points after three games. With pressure already mounting, Rohl will be desperate to secure his first win in charge against Kilmarnock.
In terms of team news, Dujon Sterling and Rabbi Matondo remain sidelined through injury, while Mohamed Diomande is a doubt after missing several matches. Youssef Chermiti could make way for Bojan Miovski, while Danilo may also return to the starting lineup.
Possible Rangers XI:
Butland; Tavernier, Souttar, Cornelius, Meghoma; Moore, Raskin, Barron, Gassama; Danilo, Miovski
Possible Kilmarnock XI:
Beach; Mayo, Deas, Williams; Brandon, Watson, Lyons, Kiltie, Thompson; Anderson, Dackers
For Killie, several players — including Djenairo Daniels, Marley Watkins, Matty Kennedy, Tom Lowery, and Max Stryjek — remain unavailable. Eddie Beach is expected to deputise in goal, while Bradley Lyons and Jamie Brandon could be handed starts after the 3–0 defeat to Hearts.
