Reason why 23-year-old Matt O’Riley central midfielder will be Leaving the Club no matter what next transfer window summer
After yet another outstanding season, former Celtic player Georgios Samaras has stated unequivocally that Matt O’Riley will leave Celtic Park this summer. Samaras made this statement with absolute surety.
Over the course of an interview with Ladbrokes Fanzone, Samaras emphasized that O’Riley’s consistent growth since his transfer from MK Dons places him in a position to move to a higher-tier league.
The former Greek international, who moved to Celtic from Manchester City, asserts that he is capable of playing for any side at any level. However, he did agree that a move to one of England’s top four teams could be too much of a leap at the time.
At the conclusion of this season, I am very certain that Matt O’Riley will be leaving the club. He has left.
“He had a wonderful season the year before, and he has had another fantastic season this time around. It is quite evident that from one year to the next, he is growing and maturing.
“He is so talented that he came from League One in England, and he is giving his team something every single week and he is giving them something.” I believe that he is currently at the pinnacle of his Celtic career in terms of his goals, his assists, and his overall achievements.
Right now, the greatest thing that can be done for him and the club is to go out and discover the best offer that can be made for him throughout the summer.
He is capable of playing for any squad, that much is certain. Although it would be more challenging for him to play for any of the top four clubs in England, and it is likely that he is not yet ready to join those clubs, I have no doubt that he is capable of going to the Premier League and performing at a level that is comparable to what he has been doing in the Premier League. It will be a matter of who has the financial means to pay for him…
There is no doubt in my mind that Celtic will receive a substantial transfer fee for Matt O’Riley since he is a very costly commodity possessed by the club. And by the way, I’m not just referring to the Premier League; he is a player that I could see playing for any of the major clubs in Spain, Portugal, Germany, Italy, or any of the other countries in Europe; I can see him moving anyplace in Europe and making a name for himself.
O’Riley has been an important player for Celtic; he has been responsible for a number of goals that have been scored by the team, and he has also added goals to his game this season, making him the leading scorer for Celtic this season.
Fans will be hoping that O’Riley can demonstrate a performance that earns him a move to a team like Atletico Madrid, which made a move for the midfielder in January. The semi-final match versus Aberdeen is scheduled to take place this coming weekend.
