Reason why Casemiro was substituted during the Manchester United vs. Liverpool match (0-3)
Man United lost badly to Liverpool on Sunday afternoon, and Casemiro was taken off after only 45 minutes.
United has made it clear that Casemiro did not leave Old Trafford during halftime of their loss to Liverpool.
It’s clear that Casemiro has gotten worse over the last year, but his game against Liverpool on Sunday was the worst of his time in Manchester.
Liverpool’s two goals in the first half were both scored by Luis Diaz and were caused by the defender. Erik ten Hag decided to take him off at halftime.
Casemiro switched teams to play for kid Toby Collyer, and there were rumors on social media that he left the stadium after pulling out. However, the club has confirmed that he did not leave early and was in the locker room with the rest of the team at full-time.
Casemiro left after the game normally, according to United, and the claims on social media have been shut down. However, people will still talk about the 32-year-old player.
Following a terrible season, most fans wanted Casemiro to be sold, but no one was interested in him. During the summer transfer window, a club source called Casemiro a “high-value player.” His high salary requests were one reason he stayed.
After the game, Sky Sports asked Erik ten Hag about Casemiro. He said, “He showed so often that he’s a great character.” We’ve all seen him do great things. He’ll do it again and get better. He will definitely keep helping our team.
Ten Hag told talkSPORT, “It’s not true” when asked about the claims that Casemiro left the area during the break. He was in the locker room. I met him just now.
One of the highest-paid players at United is Casemiro, and his deal ends in June 2026 after two more years.
