There will now be a humorous and symbolic conclusion to Eremy Martin’s brief homecoming with Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing.
Even if it might not be the perfect conclusion to a movie, it is still a cool part of the story.
There were fantasies of him collecting podiums and exhibiting his old pace when it was first brought to light around a month ago that he would be racing for his old team, the team with whom he achieved two National Motocross Championships in the 250-meter class.
It was speculated that Martin would be entering into a contract with the team for a period of three races; however, we also heard that it would be for the entire season. This fantasy comeback is almost over, as he has already declared that he will not be competing in this weekend’s Thunder Valley race. This comes after he crashed out of the Hangtown National in the previous weekend.
Wait, however! Also, Martin says that he will go back to his home race at Spring Creek Raceway in Millville, Minnesota, to ride that factory YZ250F for the very last time.
Prior to the formation of this new agreement with Star, Jeremy had intended to compete at Millville as a privateer by riding a KX450. This was going to be his last race.
Therefore, despite the fact that this comeback did not result in a podium finish (at least not yet), it will result in him racing in colors that are both recognizable and familiar to him for his final race at home. That is pretty amazing to hear.
