Casemiro didn’t go to the FA Cup final with Manchester United because he hurt himself more while warming up in the locker room.
The Brazilian was on the United teamsheets that were given out at Wembley as a replacement, but on United’s social media, Casemiro was missing and Willy Kambwala was listed as a substitute instead.
Some people close to United say that Casemiro wasn’t fully fit before the weekend and will miss the final because of a muscle issue.
It is thought that United made the change to their bench after turning in their 20-person team at 1:45pm. At 2 p.m., the teams were set.
United boss Erik ten Hag sent a traveling squad of 22 players, which showed that one of the outfield players wasn’t fully fit before the game.
Sofyan Amrabat and Kobbie Mainoo will continue to play together in central midfield. Amrabat has played the last three games.
Casemiro, who is 32 years old, is in the middle of a four-year deal and could be sold this summer because teams in Saudi Arabia are interested.
Before the FA Cup final, the former Real Madrid star had played seven straight games at center back.
