Reason why the 23-year-old Manchester United midfielder Manuel Ugarte’s first game for Manchester United could be delayed again against Southampton on Saturday

Before the break, Manuel Ugarte wasn’t able to play against Liverpool, and he may have to wait to make his full start.

Casemiro probably won’t play against Southampton on Saturday afternoon.

Casemiro was hooked at halftime of Manchester United’s loss to Liverpool before the international break. It doesn’t look like he will keep his starting spot.

Toby Collyer took over for Casemiro and is highly respected by the club. However, Manuel Ugarte was signed on the last day of the transfer window and would be the better choice to start at St. Mary’s Stadium.

There is one possible problem, though: Ugarte played for Uruguay against Venezuela on Tuesday night in a World Cup Qualifier. This means that he will have to hurry to be ready to start against Southampton on Saturday afternoon.

There will be 85 hours between Ugarte’s game for his country against Venezuela and United’s game against Southampton, so it’s not likely that he will start on the south coast.

Venezuela is six hours behind the UK in terms of time, but Ugarte is more likely to start his trip back to Manchester on Wednesday morning instead of going back right away after Tuesday night’s World Cup Qualifier at the Estadio Monumental de MaturĂn.

Assuming Ugarte takes a private jet back from Venezuela, the trip will take about 10 hours, and he won’t get to his new home until late Wednesday night.

That means they have two days, Thursday and Friday, to get ready for Southampton. Ugarte is likely to only have trained once thus far, on Friday.

United signed Ugarte in part because of how athletic and mobile he is as a defensive midfielder. However, he won’t be fresh and ready to give his best performance against Southampton, so Erik ten Hag may have to put him on the bench.

It’s too bad about that, especially since Casemiro was hooked during the break in the loss to Liverpool, but games during the international break can’t be changed.

Ugarte couldn’t play against Liverpool because he wasn’t registered with the Premier League in time, but sources said he wasn’t going to play anyway.

United always thought it would be hard for Ugarte to play since he only arrived in Manchester three days before his move was official. This was because he didn’t get many minutes in preseason.

Many fans are still hoping that Ugarte will come off the bench against Southampton, but it looks like he will have to wait longer than expected for his full start. This could be good for Collyer.

Collyer is getting a lot of attention at United right now, and a source has said that he runs faster in practice than anyone else except Bruno Fernandes.

Collyer’s first Premier League game was against Liverpool. He is expected to play a bigger role in the first team this season, and Ten Hag is more likely to give him his full adult debut in the league against Southampton than to start Casemiro.

It should be good for him that Casemiro was taken off and Ugarte is playing for Uruguay.
