Man United lost 2-1 to Arsenal in Los Angeles, and Rasmus Hojlund got hurt in the 13th minute.
Rasmus Hojlund, a scorer for Manchester United, said, “We’ll see” when asked how bad the injury was that made him leave the game against Arsenal after 16 minutes.
Hojlund put United ahead 1-0 in the 10th minute of their first pre-season tour match. He got hurt in the 13th minute and had to leave the game three minutes later with what looked like a muscle injury.
The 21-year-old walked down the tunnel without help and was seen slowly walking through the mixed zone after United lost 2-1 at the SoFi Stadium.
New player for United Even Leny Yoro had to leave the game before halftime, and he looked very upset. Rhys Bennett took over for the 18-year-old center back in the 34th minute, and Yoro was the first player to leave the locker room.
“In such occasions he (Hojlund) is very strong and he is a threat for every defence and he has scoring abilities.”
At his pre-game news conference, United manager Erik ten Hag said that the team would have to deal with more injuries. Last season, 66 players missed a game because they were sick or hurt.
Ten Hag said of the injuries, “Of course it is too short. We have to wait over 24 hours, then we should know more.”
“We were extra careful with Leny because he only came to half of the training sessions.” He needs to speak up, but let’s keep a good attitude and see what happens.
Ten Hag was happy with Hojlund’s goal, which was his first as a starter for United since February. The goal we scored was great. Marcus Rashford played a great pass in behind, and then Hojlund made a great move and scored. I was really happy. We also had a few more good chances before giving up the goal, which was called offside.
