Referee and VAR officials confirmed for St Mirren vs Celtic in the Scottish Premiership

This weekend, Celtic goes to St. Mirren to try to get their third straight league win. Earlier this month, they beat Kilmarnock and Hibernian.

The team also made it to the quarterfinals of the Premier Sports Cup last week with a 3-1 win over Hibernian in the second of two games in a row against David Gray’s team. Celtic’s good start to the season will make Brendan Rodgers happy.

The Bhoys are playing great, fluid football and will want to set a high standard early in the season for any teams that might want to push them for the Scottish Premiership title. Still, St. Mirren might be their biggest test of the season so far, given how well they played under Stephen Robinson.

The Buddies have one win and one loss in the league. Last weekend, they lost to Dundee United in the Premier Sports Cup and had to withdraw. But their work in Europe will have had something to do with that. Even though Paisley lost 4–2 on aggregate to Eliteserien powerhouses Brann over two games, they came close and will feel bad that they didn’t make it past an experienced team.

The game starts this Sunday at noon, and you can watch it live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football from 11 a.m. Now we know who will be the judges and VAR for the game. It is official that St. Mirren will play Celtic. VAR will be used. In this one, Chris Graham, who is in first place, has been chosen to blow the whistle.

He will be helped by Calum Spence and Colin Drummond, who are assistant referees and will run the lines for the Scottish FA. Steven McLean has been put in charge of VAR duty as the main person.

Alan Mulvanny is also on hand in case any tense situations need more investigation. The fourth referee for the match has not been named yet.Last season, Celtic never lost to St. Mirren; they won all five of their games against them, including this weekend.

The Bhoys want to stay at the top of the Scottish Premiership table, so they need more of the same. Getting going early is important for laying the groundwork for winning, so that should be the goal once the game starts. Celtic would be in great shape for the highly anticipated Glasgow Derby against Rangers the following Sunday if they won at the SMiSA Stadium. Rodgers’ team should be able to do just that. Hail, hail!
