Celtic have officially announced the departure of Darren O’Dea, the player pathway coach.
Swansea City sought O’Dea to serve as their assistant manager in early May, in addition to their newly appointed manager, Alan Sheehan.
Brendan Rodgers subsequently engaged in discussions with O’Dea regarding his prospective relocation to Wales. The Celtic manager verified that the Irishman was enthusiastic about returning to grass-roots coaching.
O’Dea, a former Celtic defender, has been appointed as Swansea’s new assistant manager. He has discussed the reasons for his decision and the guidance he received from Rodgers.
