REVEALED: How most recent rumours in the National Football League may be a warning sign for former Tennessee Vols 23-year-old wide receiver Jalin Hyatt

Jalin Hyatt, a former wide receiver for the Tennessee Vols, was named one of the offseason’s most successful players by The Athletic shortly after the conclusion of the 2025 NFL Draft.

This is due to the fact that the New York Giants, the team who selected Hyatt in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft, did not add any significant receivers to their roster through either the draft or free agency.

Despite this, the offseason has not yet come to an end. And there have been rumblings around the NFL that suggest that New York could be able to acquire a wide receiver with a name that is relatively notable after all.

Gabe Davis, a wide receiver, was let go by the Jacksonville Jaguars earlier this month. In addition, Jordan Raanan of ESPN reports that the Giants might be interested in reaching an agreement with Davis.

Davis was a member of the Buffalo Bills for the first four seasons of his professional football career. The connection between the two is logical given that Brian Daboll, the head coach of the Giants, served as Davis’ offensive coordinator during the wide receiver’s first two years in Buffalo.

Taking into account Daboll’s relationship with Davis, it is reasonable to anticipate that Hyatt will fall farther down the Giants’ depth chart in the event that New York decides to sign the former UCF standout.

During his time with the Giants, Hyatt has not really been given many opportunity to flourish. If Davis does end up settling in New York, it seems as though the sentence has already been written on the wall.

However, it is possible that this will be beneficial for Hyatt. At this point in time, there is a possibility that Hyatt’s NFL career would benefit the most from a new beginning somewhere.
