Arsenal is reportedly interested in getting Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins, which is good news for Newcastle United’s plans to keep Alexander Isak this summer. As a child, Watkins was a big Arsenal fan. Last season, he scored 19 goals in the Premier League and set up 13 others, which helped Aston Villa get into the Champions League.
Over the next few days, Watkins will want to impress Gareth Southgate as he puts together his final Euro 2024 team. Recently, Watkins has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium, where the Gunners want to improve their forward options. But Villains will not want the 28-year-old to leave this summer because they just signed boss Unai Emery to a new deal.
Watkins has said before that playing for the Gunners is his “dream.” In 2020, he said, “That’s the dream to play for Arsenal one day.” Wakins said it looked unlikely. Only because my family helps them out and things like that. However, that is a long-term objective.
